Socio-Economic Development

Large and medium-sized companies are encouraged to contribute 1% of their Net Profit After Tax to assist unemployed people to gain sustainable access to the economy. Contributions to this Pillar of the BEE Codes can be in the form of monetary grants or professional services. Skills transfer and environmental education are key focus areas within the Pillar.

Our programmes combine Upcycling and Socio Economic Development through the use of waste material in craft or practical training for unemployed people. Access to the economy is facilitated through the creation of products which can be sold to generate an income.
